Statement: Death of Maynard Jackson

Today, America lost one of its finest civil rights leaders, the Democratic Party lost a remarkable champion, and Hillary and I have lost a dear friend. Maynard Jackson was one of Atlanta's finest mayors, guiding the city through some of its toughest and brightest moments. We are all deeply indebted to him and mourn his passing. Hillary and I send our love and prayers to his family and friends at this difficult time.
