Statement: City Year Announcement

I am honored to join in the inauguration of City Year Little Rock for three reasons. First, it's an important moment for young people in this great city. Second, City Year is part of the AmeriCorps network, a program I was proud to create during my time in office. And third, City Year Little Rock is all about citizen service, and that remains one of the core missions of the Clinton Foundation. This ceremony will be a great event, and I am so pleased that it is happening during the same week as the opening of the Clinton Presidential Center.

The City Year program in Little Rock will have a very positive impact on the city. By strengthening the bonds of local community, these committed young people will be doing their part to help create a global community of shared benefits, responsibilities and values.
