Statement: Senator Clinton on President Clinton's Recovery

I am so happy to report that my husband is doing very well following his surgery today. Chelsea and I have been with him and he's in good spirits and looking forward to getting up and walking around, we hope as early as tomorrow.

This was not a life threatening situation, but of course that didn't stop Chelsea and me from worrying together and praying together; however, everything went fine and we're relieved and looking forward to having him come home in the coming days.

We are so grateful to his doctors and nurses and to all the staff here at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. They have provided excellent care, just as they did last September, and we will always be grateful to them for that.

We are all so very thankful to the many people who have offered us their prayers and support. It means a lot to us.
