Statement: Death of President Rugova

I am deeply saddened by the death of President Rugova. It was my honor to support his struggle for peace and freedom for the people of Kosovo. I liked and admired him very much, and his non-violent resistance to Milosevic's oppression inspired the world. Now, in his memory I urge all parties to make the status talks in Vienna a success. Hillary and I send our thoughts and prayers to his family and the Kosovar people.
