President Bill Clinton and the work of his Foundation will be honored by family and friends at a 60th birthday party held in his honor at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Canada on Saturday, September 9. This event will be a celebration of the President's life and dedication to public service as well as an opportunity to highlight his post-presidential work through the William J. Clinton Foundation. Billy Crystal, Sarah McLachlan, Jon Bon Jovi, Jully Black, Tim McGraw, James Taylor and others will be present to celebrate this special evening. Kevin Spacey will act as the Master of Ceremonies and Paul Shaffer as Musical Director.

“I am honored that so many people will join me in Toronto to celebrate my birthday and support the work of my Foundation,” said President Clinton. “60 is a milestone that I feel fortunate to achieve and I am grateful that I can continue to work on behalf of those in need throughout the world though the ongoing work of my Foundation, which this event will support.”

After leaving the White House, President Clinton wanted to build on what has been a lifetime of public service and he has done this through the Clinton Foundation, where each new project is focused on an area where he feels that he and the Foundation can make an impact and deliver results.

“I've reached an age now where it doesn't matter whatever happens to me. I just don't want anybody to die before their time and I think that all of us have an unprecedented amount of power to solve problems, save lives, and help people see the future,” said President Clinton. “My Foundation works to further this mission everyday. Whether it's bringing AIDS medicines to people in rural Africa or China; helping children in America learn to make healthier lifestyle choices; or convening world leaders to discuss some of the greatest challenges facing our world, we are working to make a lasting change in the world and in the lives of people in need.”

With the support of partners and volunteers, the Clinton Foundation is making a real and tangible difference in the fight against HIV/AIDS, global warming, childhood obesity, and other pressing challenges facing our world. All proceeds from the event will support the ongoing work of the Clinton Foundation.
