Statement from President Clinton and Secretary Clinton on the Passing of Stephen Hawking

Hillary and I were saddened by the passing of Stephen Hawking. He gave us profound insights into the nature of space and time, and a powerful example of overcoming adversity and making the most of life. I will always be grateful for his Millennium lecture at the White House and his contributions to the Clinton Global Initiative. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his admirers across the world.
