Saanvi Arora is a legal studies and computer science student at UC Berkeley and the Executive Director of the Youth Power Project, a youth-led organization that empowers young people under 25 to inform local, state, and federal policymaking based on their own experiences. She is incredibly passionate about improving access to reproductive, sexual, and mental healthcare for marginalized youth, and has written and/or advised state and federal policy on the subject matters. Overall, she is invested in bridging gaps between successful policymaking and younger generations by advocating for cultural, educational, and institutional improvements that encourage youth civic engagement and representation. 

Ragina Arrington returned to the Clinton Foundation as the CEO, CGI University. She came back to CGI U from Leadership for Educational Equity where she served as the Senior Director, Regional Impact over the New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and National Capital Regions where she was responsible for managing and supporting Directors in setting vision, identifying goals, work scopes, and strategy in addition to coaching and supporting their professional development. Prior to that, she worked with Teach For America, New York where she was the Director of Community Partnerships. With Teach For America, Ragina worked to cultivate and maintain relationships with a variety of community, city, and state stakeholders, all with the goal of elevating the teaching profession and creating access points for native New Yorkers, first-generation, Black, AAPI, and Latinx students. She also curated and executed engagement strategies to increase the number of highly diverse, talented, and committed applicants to Teach For America, New York. When not supporting her region, she lent DEI expertise to the national organization as a DEI Facilitator for incoming first-year educators, building a scaffolded learning opportunity where teachers centered their personal identity development as the vehicle for understanding racism as a function of systemic oppression.In her passion work, she served as the Director of Partnerships and Co+Investment Strategies with Unboxed Philanthropy Advisors, where she supported individuals, foundations, and nonprofits in realizing their personal philanthropic dreams with a strong focus on social justice. This included building out and reinforcing strategic growth plans, conducting market and landscape analysis, and curating critical relationships. In her previous tenure with the Foundation, Ragina operated as the Senior Outreach Manager, CGI U and was heavily focused on improving and sustaining its diversity outreach and student selection. She also created and grew the Clinton Global Initiative’s University Network which provided skilled mentorship and fiscal support of over 3 million dollars to student projects from around the globe. 

Kumbirai is a young technology entrepreneur who is very passionate about technology for social good. He is the current Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer at UmojaLands, an integrated tradFI – DeFi company driven to reduce the financing deficit of marginalized small holder farmers in the emerging rural economies of Africa. Kumbirai is a Computer Scientist by profession and holds numerous certifications in ICT, Leadership, Business and Entrepreneurship; he is a well-rounded speaker who has spoken at a number of high-level tech events locally and internationally. Kumbirai finds fulfillment in building and nurturing relationship and partnerships with stakeholders, local and marginalized communities, civil society organizations and business leaders with a special focus on incorporating strategies of collaboration, improvement and learning cycles, helping him deliver economic value, reflecting on feedback and adapting to changes. 

As vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, Chelsea Clinton works alongside the Foundation’s leadership and partners to improve lives and inspire emerging leaders across the United States and around the world. This includes the Foundation’s early child initiative Too Small to Fail, which supports families with the resources they need to promote early brain and language development; and the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U), a global program that empowers student leaders to turn their ideas into action. A longtime public health advocate, Chelsea also serves as vice chair of the Clinton Health Access Initiative and uses her platform to increase awareness around issues such as vaccine hesitancy, childhood obesity, and health equity.

In addition to her Foundation work, Chelsea teaches at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and has written several books for young readers, including the #1 New York Times bestseller She Persisted: 13 American Women Who Changed the World as well as She Persisted Around the World, She Persisted in Sports, She Persisted in Science, Start Now! You Can Make a Difference; Don’t Let Them Disappear; It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going; and Welcome to the Big Kids Club. She is also the co-author of The Book of Gutsy Women and Grandma’s Gardens with Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton and of Governing Global Health: Who Runs the World and Why? with Devi Sridhar. Chelsea’s podcast, In Fact with Chelsea Clinton, premiered in 2021 and she is the co-founder of HiddenLight Productions.

Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford, a Master of Public Health from Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health, and both a Master of Philosophy and a Doctorate in international relations from Oxford University. She lives with her husband Marc, and their children Charlotte, Aidan, and Jasper, in New York City.

Agnes escaped human traffickers at age 14 when the Lord’s Resistance Army raided her village in search of virgins. Today, she is the Regional Migration Expert at Inter-Governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) eight Member States- Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan and Uganda. She has served as Uganda’s deputy national coordinator- Prevention of human trafficking and Commandant Uganda Immigration Academy. A senior Aspen New Voices Fellow, she also contributes to teaching an online child protection course at Harvard University. Agnes is the founder of the Young Professional Mentorship program (YPMP); the Huts For Peace program and built a center to serve survivors of human trafficking in Uganda. She sits on various regional committees on migration and is a member of the Labour Migration Expert Reference Group at IGAD. Agnes is a Harvard University Mid-Career MPA graduate, 2010/11 Fulbright/ Hubert Humphrey Fellow (University of Minnesota), and alum of Oxford University. 

Daniela Montalvo Tinajero is a current candidate for the Master of Public Service at the Clinton School of Public Service. She is a 2022 Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) alumna and a 2023 CGI U Mentor. She graduated from Universidad San Francisco de Quito with a Bachelor’s in International Relations and a minor in Political Science. Throughout her trajectory, serving the community has been her biggest drive, thus she has been an intern and/or volunteer with the U.S. Department of Arts and Culture, the New York Legal Assistance Group, Hogar Para Sus Niños, and COMSA. Most recently, she has been volunteering with The Storybook Project of Arkansas. Her public service interests include gender equality, environmental justice, peace building, language access, and literacy. 

Dr. David O’Hara teaches a variety of courses, including Ancient Philosophy, American Philosophy, Environmental Ethics and Law, Classical Chinese Philosophy and Philosophy of Religion. He teaches and conducts research in the forests of Guatemala, the reefs of Belize and the tundra of Alaska, and he teaches environmental humanities courses in Greece, Spain and Morocco. His most recent book is Downstream, (Cascade Press, 2014) about brook trout and the ecology of the Appalachians. He is also the author of Narnia and the Fields of Arbol: The Environmental Vision of C.S. Lewis (U. P. Kentucky, 2008). He is currently preparing an edited volume of the religious writings of American philosopher Charles S. Peirce. O’Hara earned a B.A. in Spanish from Middlebury College, M.A. in liberal arts from St. John’s College, as well as an M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from Pennsylvania State University. O’Hara was the recipient of the 2018-19 Carole Bland Cultivating Faculty Excellence Endowment and the 2008-09 Jane and Charles Zaloudek Faculty Research Fellowship. 

Daquan Oliver is the founder and CEO of WeThrive. Growing up in a single-mother, low-income household, Daquan made a promise at age 14 to assist future children in a similar socioeconomic position to become successful and founded WeThrive at the age of 21. Prior to WeThrive, he founded Jossle, a youth marketing agency. Jossle worked with large brands like Zipcar, Uber, and KarmaLoop and amassed a student network of more than 100,000 students nationwide. Daquan has been selected to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List, as an Echoing Green Fellow, an Ashoka Fellow, featured in Black Enterprise, Nasdaq, Boston Business Journal, and Pacific Standard. 

Cameron Samuels organized nationally-recognized efforts against book banning and LGBTQ+ internet censorship in Texas. Within months of once facing the Katy school board alone, Samuels packed school board meetings, distributed hundreds of banned books, and filed legal action with the ACLU, successfully unblocking queer internet resources in the district and retaining books on shelves. Cameron co-founded Students Engaged in Advancing Texas (SEAT), their CGI U commitment to demonstrate youth visibility in educational policymaking for a SEAT at the Table. Cameron has introduced state legislation, testified before the U.S. Senate, and has been invited to the White House to meet President Biden for new actions against book bans. Cameron was named as one of Teen Vogue’s 21 Under 21 and received the Trailblazer Award from the Human Rights Campaign. 

Tyler Spencer, DPhil, MSc. founded Grassroots Health in 2009 when he was a student-athlete at Georgetown University. After working on HIV prevention in South Africa and realizing that it was also a major problem in DC (1 in 20 adult residents were estimated to be living with HIV in 2009), Tyler adapted a sports-based African HIV prevention program for use in the nation’s capital. A 2011 trip to CGI U helped him to develop the tools, connections, and confidence to scale up the organization, which has now expanded not only to schools in multiple U.S. cities but has also created its own sports-based curricula in mental health, nutrition, and physical activity. Tyler’s next step is to lead the organization through national scale, with the ultimate aim of re-imagining the culture of health as a core part of middle school curricula.
