As global gaps in health, research, and access to capital grow, AI offers new ways to address urgent and critical needs. Yet despite its immense promise, AI is imperfect and raises ethical questions related to personal data privacy, bias, intellectual property rights, environmental concerns, and more. This session will convene leaders who are using AI right now in innovative ways to plug critical gaps left by constrained resources and examine ways to bring these success stories to scale while managing AI’s risks.

Humanitarian organizations are facing reduced and uncertain funding and capacity amidst rising global turmoil and urgent needs, forcing them to reevaluate how to effectively do more with less. This session will explore how organizations can adapt to this new reality – to stay effective and build sustainable impact through innovation, increased efficiency, and creative partnerships.

As the world faces mounting threats to equality, sustainability, health, democracy, and resilience, the need for bold solutions has never been more urgent. What—and who—will it take to reshape our future for the better? In this session, leaders across philanthropy, healthcare, and media will share their ambitious, high-impact solutions to some of humanity’s greatest challenges and will discuss how strategies for accelerated giving, creative partnerships, and inclusive investment approaches can drive systemic change. Hear ideas worthy of collective amplification and understand how to be an effective steward of innovation.

Over the last few decades there have been major strides in combating infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDs and recognizing that non-communicable diseases (NCDs) cause 71% of deaths globally. This session will spotlight bold, scalable solutions that harness innovation to sustain and accelerate gains in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and long-term care of infectious and NCDs – despite progress threatened by funding cuts and strained health systems. Leaders and experts will discuss collaborative strategies, equitable access to interventions, and accelerated action to manage and prevent infectious and chronic diseases.

But history shows us time and again there is an opportunity to course correct – if we turn our attention from the leaders at the top to the masses at the bottom, centering inclusion, access to information, and economic opportunity. As Kennedy Odede reminded us on the CGI stage in 2022, the power ultimately belongs to the people. This session will highlight leaders who are putting people first and call to action the bold exercise of sound governance and defense of democratic values and institutions.

Thirty years after the Beijing Conference, where then-first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton declared, “women’s rights are human rights and human rights are women’s rights,” women’s full participation in society and democracy is challenged by attacks on reproductive rights, a persistent wage gap, and threats to women’s safety online and offline, among other systemic barriers. This session will explore the urgent need for women’s participation in public and civic life and examine ways everyone across the public, private, and civic sectors can advance equality, rights, and democratic engagement.

Together, we’ll explore how culture can cut through crisis, connect communities, and drive meaningful change across borders.

Civil society organizations are being forced to increasingly fight harder to protect human rights as hard-won protections for LGBTQ+ people are actively being rolled back. This session will explore how funders, advocates, and cross-sector leaders are working to expand support, shape policy, and reframe what’s next for LGBTQ+ equality. Participants will hear from changemakers who are building resilient movements, innovating funding strategies, and creatively partnering to resource frontline defenders and ensure that LGBTQ+ voices remain at the center of the global fight for justice.

As the public sector scales back on reporting data and funding cuts have a ripple effect globally, what is the future of truth and information? This session will explore how communities can rebuild trust, strengthen media literacy, and share reliable information despite shrinking resources.

This session will explore how we can support job creation and economic mobility to help workers and businesses prepare for the future. Topics will include expanding access to funding for small businesses, helping workers learn new skills, increasing employee ownership, and supporting underserved communities.
