Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact the Clinton Presidential Center's development office?

The Clinton Presidential Center’s Development team stands ready to assist you in making a gift or to answer any questions you may have. Please contact us via email at cpc-memberships@clintonfoundation.org.

What tax deduction will donors receive for their gifts?

Your tax benefits will depend on several factors, including the type of gift, whether it is outright or deferred, or has any income payments. In general, here are some guidelines:

Outright gifts generate a charitable deduction generally based on their fair market value, less the fair market value of any goods/services received (e.g., the value of a meal at a fundraising event.) Bequests do not generate current income tax deductions.

Similarly, life insurance distributions are not tax deductible. If you have made the Foundation the irrevocable owner and beneficiary of a policy during your lifetime, however, you may deduct annual gifts that offset premium payments.

The charitable deduction for a gift that returns income to you, such as a charitable remainder trust, is based on the fair market value of the gift asset minus the present value of the income interest you retain.

Because many Legacy Gifts involve complex instruments and tax issues, the Clinton Presidential Center advises donors to consult with their own legal and/or financial advisors before making a Legacy Gift to the Foundation.

Will the Clinton Presidential Center determine the value of gifts of tangible personal property for a donor's income tax deduction?

No, this is the donor’s responsibility and the IRS has strict guidelines on assessing value and securing an appraisal.

Is the Clinton Presidential Center a tax-exempt organization? What is the Foundation's federal tax identification number?

Yes. The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, and its federal tax identification number is: 31-1580204.

DIGITAL MEMBERSHIP CARD Questions

Why has the Clinton Presidential Center moved to a digital membership card?

We are thrilled to now offer digital membership cards to our Clinton Center Members and Ambassadors. This new digital card will offer you easy access to your membership benefits, make a positive impact on the environment, and help us better serve our generous supporters.

When will I receive my digital membership card in my email inbox?

Within 5 to 7 business days after purchasing your membership you will receive an email from CPC-memberships@clintonfoundation.org that will contain instructions on how to download your new digital membership card. In the event you do not receive the email, please contact the Clinton Center Development team via email.

How do I use my digital membership card?

Your digital membership card is unique to you and displays your name, member level, member ID, expiration date, and benefits. You can show your digital membership card to access member-only benefits including discounts at the Clinton Center Museum Store and 42 bar and table, and access to other presidential libraries administered by the National Archives and Records Administration.

How do I access the content on the back of my digital membership card?

To access the back of your Digital Membership Card, please follow the steps below:

iOS users:

  1. Open your Digital Membership Card.
  2. Tap on the  icon at the top right of the card. If you don’t see this icon, make sure you are not accessing the card from your lock screen.

Android users via Wallet Passes App:

  1. Open your Digital Membership Card.
  2. Tap on the “i” icon at the bottom right of the card.

GPay: this format does not offer a back of card, instead you will be able to see all the content on one side, by scrolling down to see additional information.

I have a household membership. How do I share the card with the members of my household?

If you have a household membership the original download link works only once, but the installed card can be shared with the other members of your household.

After installing the card on your device, you just need to enter the card on that device and use the “Share” button that is located on the back of the card to distribute the pass to other members that are included in your membership plan.

  • For iPhone users: Search for a three-dot icon at the top right of your card.
  • Once you tap on the icon, search for an icon that looks like an arrow over a square on the top right of your screen.
• You will see sharing options like Airdrop, Mail, etc… Use one of those options to share your card (we recommend you use the Mail option).
  • For Android users: search for an ”i” icon at the bottom of your card.
  • Once you tap on this icon, you will see a button that says “share pass”. Tap on this button.
• You will see sharing options like Mail, SMS, etc… Use one of those options to share your card (we recommend you use the Mail option).
  • If you are using GooglePay: due to Google’s internal structure, the sharing option is not available for the membership cards. However, members can forward the email to the person who wants to download the card and use the Google Pay option as usual. The big difference between Google Pay and Wallet Passes is the same link can be used for both members.
Will I receive a digital card each time I renew my membership?

Once you add the digital membership card to your mobile wallet, it will automatically update within 2 weeks after your membership is renewed.
