Universe Partners commits to launching a venture fund focused on investing in early-stage frontier technologies that build global resilience across infrastructure, climate, society, economy, and other critical systems. The fund will target startups addressing urgent challenges such as extreme weather adaptation, energy transition, supply chain security, and economic and societal stability – transforming today’s global disruptions into long-term investment opportunity and valuable impact for businesses and communities worldwide. Over the next four years, Universe Partners’ Global Resilience Tech Fund will deploy $30 million into 12 startups, accelerating transformative solutions designed to unlock innovation at scale.
Universe Partners’ investments focus on companies based in the United States, Europe, and Israel, whose products are deployed globally across regions including Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, North America, and Oceania. These companies tackle local challenges with innovative solutions designed to strengthen the resilience of communities, economies, and critical infrastructures. For instance, they offer desertification solutions in Africa and the Middle East, wildfire mitigation technologies in North America, and flood resilience products in Europe and Latin America. The approach focused on fortifying communities and ecosystems amidst escalating impacts of disruptions across climate, society, economy, geopolitics, and technology—at the interconnected intersection of all these forces.
This commitment will be implemented through a globally inclusive sourcing strategy and a curated domain experts community – a global collective of scientists, policy leaders, operators, and technologists. The firm is also supported by a world-class advisory board that unites public, private, and nonprofit leadership to accelerate frontier solutions. Together, this coalition will collaborate with the Clinton Global Initiative network to catalyze scalable, high-impact solutions to the world’s most urgent challenges. Universe Partners will also contribute thought leadership to shape the emerging field of resilience tech, turning insights into action and helping establish resilience as a core investment category – enabling societies to endure disruptions, while evolving and thriving.

Action Plan

In September 2025, the Global Resilience Tech Fund will officially launch and start to curate a community platform of those committed to resilience tech.

In Q4 of 2025 the fund will execute its first investments and launch its global domain experts community.

Throughout 2026-2027, Universe Partners will make 3-5 additional investments and gather its global community through a virtual or in-person convening.

From 2028-2030, Universe Partners will focus on follow-on investments in later rounds and the acceleration of portfolio companies.
