NEW YORK, NY – Today, President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Chelsea Clinton announced additional participants and programming for the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) 2022 Meeting in New York, September 19-20. For the first time since 2016, CGI is bringing together global and emerging leaders to take action on the world’s most pressing challenges, including climate change, health equity, inclusive economic growth, the global refugee crisis, and threats to the rights and prosperity of girls and women. With the theme “The Business of How,” the CGI 2022 Meeting will include announcements of new Commitments to Action™ – specific, measurable programs that address a pressing global challenge – as well as updates on the impact of previous CGI commitments. More than 3,700 Commitments to Action have been launched through CGI since its inception in 2005, making a difference in the lives of more than 435 million people in over 180 countries.

CGI Story Studio: Breaking Gridlock, a curated speaker experience which will feature inspirational stories from trailblazers and innovators on the front lines who have found new ways to address some of our greatest common challenges. Story Studio is supported in part by the Skoll Foundation, as part of their commitment to investing, connecting, and championing social innovators and entrepreneurs who advance bold and equitable solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. These storytellers will share lessons from the field, exploring the idea of breaking gridlock through stories and conversations. CGI Entrepreneurship Greenhouse – a new program designed to showcase and support emerging entrepreneurs with transformative solutions for building an inclusive economy, creating health equity, and fighting climate change. The CGI Greenhouse will provide 31 social impact entrepreneurs with an opportunity to present, demo their products, and connect companies, private and corporate foundations, family offices, investors, and funders who are ready to take action together.
