MEDIA ADVISORY: President Bill Clinton to Deliver Third of Four Lectures at Georgetown on April 21

On April 21, President Bill Clinton will give the third lecture in a historic series at Georgetown University that explores the people, events, lessons and guiding principles that have shaped his career in public service. President Clinton graduated from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in 1968.

The topic of the April 21 talk, part of The Clinton Lectures at Georgetown, will be “Purpose,” where President Clinton will discuss how a clear and inclusive sense of purpose can drive a life of service. During his first lecture in the series, President Clinton said that young people interested in public service should focus on four areas: people, policies, purpose, and politics. His first and second talks in the series were about people and policies, respectively, and next year’s talk, the final lecture in the series, will be about politics.
