Press Release: City Year Cyzygy '05 Unity Rally Opens

City Year kicked off its eleventh annual cyzygy convention with a Unity Rally on the grounds of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center. Thousands of City Year corps members from various areas around the country and the world kicked-off the “Annual Convention of Idealism” with Little Rock Mayor Jim Dailey and former Senator David Pryor.

The speakers praised and inspired the sea of young leaders to continue on the path national service and commitment to serving their country.

City Year corps members thanked both Mayor Dailey and Senator Pryor by presenting them with their signature red jackets. Director of the Clinton Presidential Library, David Alsobrook was also presented a gift of appreciation for graciously opening the doors of the center for many of the week’s events.

Packed with energy and idealism, cyzygy 05’ promises to be a powerful experience for the 1,000 corps members as well as the entire Central Arkansas community.
