Press Release: Clinton Foundation Receives Award
The William J. Clinton Foundation was honored at the third annual Pharmaceutical Achievement Awards in Boston. The Foundation received the Award for Advancement in the Cause of Worldwide Health for its HIV/AIDS Initiative.
Since 2003, the Foundation has announced several agreements with major pharmaceutical and medical technology companies that will reduce the cost of daily doses of AIDS medications by 75% for some patients and the cost of diagnostic tests in certain developing regions of the world by 90%.
The Clinton Foundation works in 18 countries to further its mission in five areas–the battle against HIV/AIDS, economic empowerment,citizen service, leadership development and racial, ethnic and religious reconciliation.
