Press Release: Event for Children Impacted by Hurricane Katrina

The Clinton Center and the Central Arkansas Library System sponsored a “Welcome to Arkansas – Fun Filled Festival”, for children in Arkansas schools impacted by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

The event held Sunday, October 30, from 3:30-6:00pm in the Great Hall at the Clinton Center, featured acclaimed storyteller Adella Adella and a variety of educational break-out sessions for children.

Children throughout the state were invited to participate, along with their parents. More than 100 participated and had a great time. There was entertainment, activities, food, and fun for all. Admission to the Clinton Center was free for those attending the event.

The educational event was a collaborative effort with the William J. Clinton Foundation, the Clinton Presidential Library, and the Central Arkansas Library System.
