Statement by President Bill Clinton on the passing of Bingu wa Mutharika

“I was saddened to learn of the passing of President Mutharika, and I extend my prayers and condolences to his family. Since 2005, my Foundation has had the opportunity to work with him, Vice President Banda, and their government. I look forward to continuing those efforts with President Banda, and I wish her and her country well as they build upon their constitution and democracy in the face of this unexpected loss.”
