Statement: President Clinton Taking Brief Walks

Former President Bill Clinton continues to recuperate at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center; he's in good spirits and has been able to take short walks in the hallway outside his room.

The Clinton family is thankful for all the support and encouragement they've received throughout this week and request that people send their good wishes via the Clinton Foundation Web site (www.clintonfoundation.org) in lieu of sending flowers. The Clintons have asked that flowers they've received at the hospital be shared with other patients, and flowers sent to the President's Harlem office are being shared with charitable organizations in Harlem.
