The Clinton Center will host a Little Rock Watch Party of the 2013 Presidential Medal of Freedom Award Ceremony. President Bill Clinton, along with 15 others, will receive the nation’s highest civilian honor presented to individuals who have made especially meritorious contributions to the security or national interests of the United States, to world peace, or to significant cultural, public, or private endeavors.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the executive order signed by President John F. Kennedy establishing the Presidential Medal of Freedom, as well as the first ceremony, which honored the inaugural class of 31 recipients.
