NEW YORK, NY – Today, the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) announced a new fellowship that will engage a curated cohort of emerging entrepreneurs, providing critical tools and guidance as they build and implement programs that address urgent global challenges. In the inaugural 2024 year, the CGI Fellowship program will select 25 individuals to develop CGI Commitments to Action – new, specific, and measurable projects that advance solutions to critical challenges including the climate crisis, global health inequity, humanitarian crises. Fellows will have a high-profile platform to launch these commitments at the CGI 2024 Annual Meeting in New York City, September 23-24.
The new CGI Fellowship will be administered by the CGI University program, which has more than 15 years of experience providing leadership development for thousands of students and young leaders from around the globe. The 2024 CGI Fellows will receive support through mentorship, community building events, and access to year-round social impact curriculum. This new program is another critical investment in the future of entrepreneurship, with options for all levels of experience – CGI University for current students; the CGI Fellowship for established students and emerging leaders; and the CGI Greenhouse for growth-stage entrepreneurs looking to scale.
Applications are live for the CGI Fellowship Program: clintonglobal.org/fellowship. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2024, with applicants selected in April 2024. Applicants must be 18 years or older.
“As President Clinton often says, talent is distributed equally but opportunity is not,” said Ragina Arrington, Chief Executive Officer of the CGI University program. “The new CGI Fellowship will give students and emerging leaders from around the world valuable new tools and opportunities as they develop solutions to some of our most urgent challenges, on the unrivaled CGI stage. Along with the CGI University and Greenhouse, the new CGI Fellows program is a critical investment in the future of entrepreneurship by CGI.”
“As the world faces more overlapping challenges than ever before, it’s important to prioritize ways to support and scale the community-driven solutions these CGI Fellows will bring to bear,” said Greg Milne, Chief Executive Officer of CGI. “In 2024 and beyond, we believe entrepreneurs from all backgrounds will play an even greater role in shaping – and helping us win – some of the largest fights we face, like climate change, economic inclusion, health equity, and more.”
The CGI Fellows will tap into CGI’s network of global leaders in business, government, and civil society. For more than 15 years, the Clinton Foundation has worked to support students and emerging leaders dedicated to making a positive difference in the world:

- The CGI Greenhouse program, which over the last two years has supported 59 entrepreneurs from growth-stage social impact companies across the globe, working to introduce innovative technologies and business models that aim to solve critical global challenges;
