Alanna McCargo on How to Fix It: AI Disruption and Worker Ownership

This week, Alanna McCargo, the Clinton Foundation’s Sir Evelyn de Rothschild Fellow for Inclusive Capitalism, appeared on “How to Fix It with John Avlon” to talk about ongoing AI disruption, and how workers can be in the driver’s seat for the changes to come.

“When AI doubles the productivity of a company – we hear claims that that’s happening in some organizations – and then 30,000 workers are let go…. those workers helped build that company. How do they get a share of was built?”

McCargo argues in favor of investing in employee ownership models, strengthening economic security for workers, and tackling the affordability crisis through more inclusive economic policies as a win-win for all stakeholders, including workers.
