Arkansas's Largest "Green" Fashion Show
Curbside Couture is Arkansas's largest "green" fashion show, where third-twelfth grade students create and model designs made from recycled material.
Designs are divided into two categories: Separates (a single design piece) and Total Designs (a complete outfit). Accessories are also encouraged to enhance the overall design.
Making the Designs
80% of the designs submitted to Curbside Couture in the past six years, have been constructed without the use of a sewing machine.
110 Students Participated in 2017
In 2017, more than 110 students proudly walked down the Curbside Couture runway at the Clinton Center in designs made of recycled material.
Mentoring Sessions with Professional Designers
Students who participate in Curbside Couture are given the opportunity to engage with professional designers and receive feedback from them about their designs in a mentoring session.
Awards for Outstanding Designs
Cash prizes are awarded to students with outstanding designs chosen by a professional panel of judges.
