We commit to raise the funds to enable JAM to drill 25 water wells in the Sudan. The goal is to also encourage other companies, individuals and organizations to partner with us to meet our goals of drilling 25 water wells in the Sudan by August 2008 as well as raise awareness of the plight of the Sudanese people and their needs in efforts to help alleviate the pain of the genocide.
JAM - Joint Aid Management is a Christian African Relief organization. JAM's programs focus on nutritional feeding, school feeding, assistance to orphans and vulnerable children, the provision of water and sanitation as well as skills development and community training. JAM believes that without education there can be no development and effective education is only attained through adequate nutrition. JAM currently assists more than 400,000 children through its nutritional feeding programs.
JAM Drilling has responded to the great need for clean and safe water in South Africa in the areas of Limpopo, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu Natal, Gauteng and Mpumalanga. Drilling operations are also underway in Southern Sudan. The main focus is to supply water to desperate communities close to a local school or community center, where possible. JAM has supplied more than 920 boreholes since drilling operations started in 2001 throughout southern Africa.
Sudan is the newest recipient of JAM's school feeding activities and is by far the most difficult. In many areas schools need to be constructed and teachers retrained before school-feeding activities can be initiated. JAM is currently feeding more than 1,600 children in Pibor county.
