Since 2001, the Clinton Foundation has worked to improve lives around the world and build upon President Clinton’s legacy of public service.
Orphans and Vulnerable Children Programs
Ubuntu Education Fund has made a commitment to provide comprehensive programming for orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Their comprehensive caring, supportive, and empowering services for OVC and their families reduce their vulnerability and improve access to essential resources and services. Their aim is to stabilize the home-lives of vulnerable children and ensure that they can focus on their education. Ubuntu's services include child-centered HIV prevention initiatives, 'Government Registration Days', and an after-school program - as forecasted in their 2008 report - in addition to care services, care-giver workshops, holiday camps, community gardens and a school feeding programme, and weekly support groups.
