Overall, this commitment has already significantly exceeded the $32 million original target. In the past year, the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program brought in extra funding from three new companies. In addition, they also encouraged companies already donating to raise their sponsorship levels to the next available level. In May 2009, the scholarship program was able raise sponsorship at their annual gala dinner.
April 2009
The Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program has taken in $18,000,000 in the last year from private company contributions. They are holding a further Gala Dinner on 11th May 2009 to bring in more funding from outside the program. They are strongly committed to their program and want to exceed all expectations for funding in the next five to six years.
July 2008
On July 1, 2006, the Crown Prince' International Scholarship Program initiated its new Action Learning Program (ALP) in association with Rob Rorich & Associates and Aligned Leadership - both leading international organizational development consultancy companies. This program is a summer internship and training workshop in association with major companies in Bahrain.
The 57 day program starts with a one week intensive leadership, planning and problem solving workshop followed by a 50 day challenge set by the participating companies.
March 2006
Collected the first four major donations from large Bahrain based companies totaling $7.9 million so far.

Meetings with CEOs of possible sponsors for the Crown Prince's International Scholarship Fund took place.

Development of the Endowment Fund for Crown Prince's International Scholarship Program (CPISP) began.

Milestones Reached:
- The CPISP has completed the selection process for its 9th Group of 10 scholarship recipients which takes the number of fully paid university scholarship recipients up to 87.
- The CPISP hosted it 3rd Annual Gala Dinner in order to raise awareness of the program and to solicit additional pledges of money for the CPISP Endowment Fund. Top international educators from universities in the UK and US are invited to attend these functions. The attendees included John Sexton, President New York University and HRH the Prince Andrew Duke of York.
