Full implementation of RIRO programs
There exists a significant opportunity to generate more knowledge and tolerance in the United States towards Islamic countries and people of Muslim faith. Lasting bridges of peace and understanding can be built if barriers are reduced and personal relationships and friendships are established between individuals. If Partners for a New Beginning is to be successful in its efforts outside the United States in creating a New Beginning for a relationship between the United States and Islamic countries, it is critically important to establish credibility by positively impacting attitudes within the United States.
There are approximately two to five million Muslims living in the United States. They are a critically important asset in building a foundation for increased understanding and acceptance. By reaching 'in' to these people RIRO will help them become ambassadors, reaching 'out' from the United States in building understanding and acceptance via their families, friends, and colleagues.
